We are Patrick and Janice Bowman and the Apostolic, Prophetic team leaders of Late Harvest Wesleyan Ministries. We live and minister from The Dalles, Oregon, in the midst of the spectacular Columbia River Gorge. We have been married since 2008 and collectively have 5 adult children (one deceased) and 7 grandchildren. Our mission is to equip believers for an end-time harvest.  We have been active in small group ministry since 2010, with an emphasis on building people instead of building numbers. The basic structure of our group ministry is a Wesleyan model that combines the activities of Wesley's Societies (worship and teaching), Class Meetings (fellowship and body ministry), and Band Meetings (accountability and personal ministry) into a weekly 90-minute homegroup experience. (Find out more! Link to articles here) This model is also Biblical, found in Acts 2:42: "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer" (NASB). We also provide individual mentoring on a limited basis via Zoom Video Conferencing (accounts are free!).  For more information on current activities, please call Patrick at 541-980-8310 or via email here

We believe Late Harvest Wesleyan Ministries offers a Christ-honoring balance of Biblical structure with freedom in the Holy Spirit.  We look forward to meeting you and sharing our vision. Contact us here.

Why Wesleyan?

image3

We are Wesleyan in doctrine, Pentecostal in experience, Apostolic in outlook, and Biblical in practice.
And here is what that means.

We are a small group ministry that is Wesleyan in doctrine. "Wesleyan" refers to a historical connection with the teachings and practice of the 18th Century English reformer, John Wesley. Wesleyans believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Savior of all persons who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life. Our justification through Christ is followed by the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We value our Pentecostal experience, believing those who receive new life in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit. We are apostolic in outlook, embracing the current day operation of the apostolic and prophetic offices of the church to help equip the saints for the work of ministry. God wants people everywhere to know Him and only through the ministry of all  the Ephesian 4 gifts is the church fully prepared to tell the world about Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds. We are Biblical in practice, believing the Bible and seeking to establish our faith and actions on its teachings. If you are finding the current wave of liberalism in the church at odds with your personal values, we invite you to contact us in regards to fellowship opportunities with Late Harvest.

Audio Sermons, Lessons, etc., by Rev. J. Patrick Bowman

image4

A small collection of my audio sermons, lessons, and archived broadcasts. Paul said in Romans that "...faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17.  It is my intention to offer messages, lessons, and podcasts that will edify you and spur you on in your Christian walk. I believe the greatest task of a Christian leader and Bible teacher is to get people to think more deeply than they do about any subject, no matter what their current level of understanding. Of course, the Holy Spirit is the Supreme Teacher and Psalm 42:7 tells us "Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me." Abiding in God's presence allows one to open up and receive the deeper things of God.

Clean Water is a Global Issue

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
